I joined the ambulance service as a student Paramedic in 2014, studying a BSc Degree in Paramedic Science with the University of Greenwich and Secamb. I really enjoyed this steep learning curve and a short voluntary placement in obstetrics in Tanzania was a particular highlight.
I qualified in 2017 and set out to come back home to Norfolk to work for EEAST. I have worked full time in Waveney since and have really enjoyed providing care to my local community. I regularly mentor university paramedic students and I get great satisfaction from helping these students achieve their goals.
Throughout my time as a Paramedic, I have come to develop a particular interest in critical care which has been further fuelled by the opportunity of being able to volunteer my time with NARs. I’m passionate about education and Im studying a MSc in critical care with Queen Mary University London.
It’s great to be part of such an enthusiastic, dedicated group of individuals that all strive to improve the level of care we can deliver prehospitally. I enjoy house improvements, yoga and spending time with friends. My vizsla Murphy, is my wonderful ginger ninja, come, revision companion.
