I am a registered nurse with NARS.
My day job is as a lecturer in Paramedic Science at the university of East Anglia, as well as working at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital as a staff nurse across a range of areas.
My background is in urgent and emergency care; and prior to moving into education, I worked within the local emergency department for many years.
I first became aware of NARS while working in the local ED and was always impressed by the professionalism and skills that I saw. I did some more research and the ethos of the charity inspired me to become more involved.
When the charity advertised for nurses to join, I jumped at the chance and have been a member for 2 years!
I often respond from home alongside my husband Craig, who is a NARS Paramedic, where we attend a range of patients. I love the variety that volunteering with NARS brings and enjoy being involved in educational events for the public as well as the clinical knowledge and skills in have developed.
