The Emergency First Aid course is designed for lower risk workplaces whose needs assessment does not require an employee to hold a formal full First Aid at Work course, or where additional staff need training to support the first aider(s). It provides learners with essential skills and knowledge to confidently provide immediate lifesaving assistance in an emergency.
Guidance on producing a first aid needs assessment can be found in the HSE document First Aid at Work (third edition).
Assessment: This course is assessed through ongoing assessment of practical skill and a written knowledge assessment (usually completed as the course progresses as opposed to a final written exam). There is no final summative assessment.
Certification: HABC Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF)
Minimum age 16 years.
No previous first aid experience necessary.
The course price is £75.00 for individuals attending a NARS-hosted event. However, if you would like NARS to deliver this course for a number of people at your premises, please contact us for more information and to discuss pricing.
