Many people are frightened to intervene when faced with a paediatric emergency; this course provides the knowledge and confidence to render safe and effective care.
This 2 day (12 hour) course meets OFSTED and Early Years Foundation Stage requirements for paediatric first aid training. It is aimed at any child care professional who works with children and / or babies and will provide both knowledge, skills and confidence to act effectively should a paediatric emergency occur.
The course is based around the criteria for effective paediatric first aid training found in Appendix 1 of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Practice Guidance document for course development and structure. It is typically undertaken by groups such as nursery staff, teachers, Learning Support Assistants, Childminders, holiday camp staff or parent and toddler group volunteers.
