NARS Vehicles and Equipment
When someone dials 999, every second counts. We’re proud to operate a diverse fleet of rapid response vehicles, each meticulously equipped with the latest life-saving equipment to serve our community in times of need.
Our fleet is designed to be agile and efficient, ensuring a swift and effective response to accidents and emergencies across Norfolk. From advanced medical apparatus to cutting-edge communication tools, each vehicle is a mobile hub of medical expertise, ready to deliver critical care at a moment’s notice.
Our Fleet
Our vehicles are tailored to a variety of scenarios, whether it be navigating through narrow city streets or traversing rural landscapes. All of our emergency vehicles are fitted with blue lights and sirens, as well as the NARS branding on the hood.
TOUREG
This is our primary vehicle for our NARS Advanced Paramedics. It was kindly donated by the Potters Friends Foundation after entertainer Jack Jenkins’ charity appeal, where he raised an incredible £55,000 by completing several challenges over 2024.
V90
Our V90 is primarily used by Emergency Responders and Paramadics. Special thanks to our friends at Stowen who kindly helped us to fund this vehicle, as well as wrap it with the ‘battenburg markings’ that help to identify it as an emergency vehicle.
VW TRANSPORTER
The VW Transporter joined NARS in 2018, making it our longest serving vehicle. Whilst it is sometimes used as a back up option for Emergency Responders, the Transporter is now mostly used for events and fundraising purposes.
PASSAT
This vehicle is mostly used by our Community First Responders (CFRs) who make up a large percentage of our volunteers. It is thanks to public donations that we are able to purchase and operate our emergency fleet.
Our Equipment
Inside each vehicle, you’ll find a range of essential life-saving equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, defibrillators, monitors, LUCAS Chest Compression Devices, suction units, aerogen nebulisers, ventilators and medical bags. Our gear is regularly updated and maintained to the highest standards, ensuring that our team can operate with confidence and efficiency.
The cost to kit out one of our home responders is approximately £55,000.
